My early career as a child therapist and social skills coach nurtured my empathetic spirit, teaching me the profound value of connection and care. These experiences, intertwined with the deep-rooted traditions of family and community, laid the foundation for my venture into the world of intimate apparel. Transitioning from nurturing individual growth to curating an exceptional fashion experience, I embraced my role at a boutique where every fitting became an intimate celebration of confidence and beauty.
Today, I channel this blend of compassion and expertise into crafting a boutique experience that is both luxurious and personalized. Why the Right Bra Fit Matters
I understand firsthand how uncomfortable the wrong bra can be. For years, I wore a bra that had been professionally fitted, so I trusted that the discomfort was simply something I had to live with. It wasn’t until I attended professional bra-fitting school that I discovered I had been wearing the wrong size all along.
A properly fitted bra should feel supportive, comfortable, and secure. The band—not the straps—should provide most of the support, sitting firmly around your rib cage without riding up or constantly shifting. The underwire should sit around the breast tissue, not on it, and the straps should support without digging into your shoulders.
During a fitting, we also teach the “scoop and lift” technique to make sure all breast tissue is properly positioned inside the cups. Small adjustments can make a remarkable difference in how a bra looks and feels.
An ill-fitting bra can cause rubbing, pressure, skin irritation, shoulder discomfort, and poor support. A properly fitted bra distributes the weight of the breasts more comfortably across the body and can help you stand and move more comfortably.
And remember—bras don’t have birthdays, but they do have a lifespan! Depending on how often you wear and rotate them, bras generally need to be replaced when the band, cups, or elastic no longer provide proper support. For many women, checking the fit around 12–18 months is a helpful guideline.
Your bra should work for your body—not against it. That is why a professional fitting can make such a difference.

Ari is an experienced one-on-one caregiver dedicated to creating joyful and engaging environments for the retirement community. With a deep passion for providing compassionate support, she assists with daily tasks and activities, ensuring comfort and well-being for those in her care.
Outside of her profession, Ari enjoys a fulfilling home life with her husband, two young adults, and two energetic cats. Her family cherishes their annual trips to the coast of Maine, a tradition that brings her immense joy and gratitude. A talented crafter, she finds great fulfillment in teaching others the art of paper crafting and creating custom scrapbooking albums to help preserve cherished memories.
In her free time, Ari finds peace in nature through gardening, birdwatching, and long walks. She also enjoys the excitement of watching hockey. Her commitment to enriching the lives of others extends beyond her work—it's a reflection of who she is at heart.

Janet was born and raised in suburban Boston and pursued her passion for mathematics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She continued her studies with graduate work in teaching mathematics at Bridgewater State University. After college, she moved to Plymouth, where she began her teaching career, got married, and started a family. Recently retired after 35 years of teaching high school math, Janet has transitioned from the classroom to a new role that continues her lifelong commitment to helping others.
In retirement, Janet joined Beata at a woman-owned bra boutique, where she applies her problem-solving skills and people-first approach to help women of all shapes and sizes feel beautiful. After decades of guiding students of all abilities, she now finds joy in empowering women with confidence and comfort. Her expertise in communication and creative problem-solving has made her a valuable part of this venture, igniting a new passion for making every woman feel her best.
Outside of work, Janet enjoys quilting, reading, spending time at the beach, and immersing herself in all things Harry Potter. Most of all, she cherishes time with her family, embracing every moment with warmth and gratitude.
